Quick-Sip: Germany makes more than Riesling

Castell Silvaner trocken QbA (2008)
Castell Winery
Silvaner
Franken, Germany

Appearance: Clear, bright, pale, golden/lemon yellow

Nose: Minerality, pear, yellow apple, citrus, lime, nectarine, medium intensity, clean, honeyed as it warms up

Palate: Medium+ acidity, dry, medium- body, a little spritziness, medium alcohol, medium intensity, chalky, mineral, lemon, brine, balmy, citrus, apple, peach, medium finish.
Nice wine with crisp acidity. Doesn't linger too long, not searing. Good body - easy to pair with tropical fruits in dishes like pork, chicken or fish?

Cheers!
